All age groups contribute to innovation and it is a misconception that older people run out of ideas or are any less creative than younger members of the organisation. Knowledge capital is a huge asset to any organisation and the ability to use tacit knowledge to encourage and generate ideas is extremely desirable.
Most successful innovations are actually as a result of collaborative thought processes, harvested by an effective innovation management process that is designed to encourage, capture, assess and select the best ideas.
It is also a misconception that creativity is the domain of the selective few. Evidence shows that everyone has the capability to generate ideas, whether this relates to administration processes, or new and/or augmented products and services.
Creativity needs to be nurtured and all employees given the appropriate training to be and think creatively. We welcome enquiries from any organisation that is interested in optimising the collective creativity of their workforce. |
